The G Scale Section have constructed a permanent outdoor double track layout, within the club grounds. Colin Brent, the section leader, will be pleased to meet potential new members and show you what the section is getting up to.

The G scale layout is basically a double track mainline, bent in the middle to go around the r/c boat pond, with a marshalling yard at the back. There’s a four-track trestle, a double track girder bridge and a double track stone bridge on the circuit, which totals about 250 feet around. The Marshalling Yard was the scene of much activity recently with the clockwise and anti-clockwise fans of sidings being separated and enlarged with an operating pit between being added.

Trains are operate under analogue 20v power, steam or battery. If you’ve a G Scale train why not come along with it and if there’s a member of the section present they will normally be happy to let you run it round.
